Dear Sandy Hook,
From my experience, when someone you love dies you want the whole world to stop and acknowledge the loss with you. All activity should cease. The world must recognize that it has lost someone wonderful and that life will be a lot less interesting without that person.

Sandy Hook, the world has stopped. The world hears your heaving sobs and sees the shock in your faces and we feel it, too. We see the faces of your children and teachers and know that we as humanity have lost them.

We hear you and we grieve with you.

With sympathy that cannot be adequately expressed,
