Dear family, friends, and anyone affected by what has happened, 

My heart goes out to you. This is an atrocity that should never have happened-- your children, your teachers should never have died the way they did. I am so sorry for all of your pain; I wish I could be there with you all, to comfort and to console. From the west coast, I send you my love. That is all I can do.
