Dear Citizens of Newtown,

I'm a 17 year old girl from New Jersey. I have two nieces, one who is three and the other who is one years old. At my high school there is a teens and tots program so my three year old niece goes to the same school as me. Last night I couldn't sleep because I lied awake thinking about what would happen if there was a similar situation here. What happened in Newtown has deeply affected everybody in the United States, including myself. What happened there is constantly talked about here and my heart goes out to all of you. I know these words will never fix what happened there, but I want you all to know that everybody is taking this seriously. I am so sorry this had to happen. Stay strong Newtown.
