December the 14th is a date that my family and I struggle with since my husband passed away six years ago.  On hearing of the tragedies at Sandy Hook elementary school, it compounded that loss. I know in my heart that those children are angels in heaven and in a far better place.  That does not ease the pain of the parents.  The pain, in time, will cease to a degree but the wound will be there forever.  I will remember them in the future on that date with special prayers.
