Dear children of Sandy Hook Elementary, I know that the travesty that has happened to your school and classmates has deeply impacted your lives, and for that I couldn't be more sorry. I send all of my prayers out to all of you. When something of this magnitude happens, it is important to remember those lost, and let them live through you every day. Talk about them. Tell stories about them. Do whatever you can to make sure that they are remembered, and honored. I know that most of you are too young to understand what has actually happened, and you may have to grow up a bit faster than most kids your age do. However, this incident should not steer you away from still being able to live your childhood, and let these be your best years. Live these years for your classmates who tragically can't. They may be gone, but they are never forgotten.
