My dear neighbors in Connecticut:

I want you all to know that I have prayed and will continue to pray that God comes into your hearts and gives you peace and strength. I have thought of your beloved children dozens and dozens of times and I know that hey are wrapped safely and cuddled in the arms of God. It is for those of us left here on earth that I pray for. I have worked in an elementary school for the last 7 years so I know the happy voices, giggles, joy, laughter, intensity, energy and love that children of this age bring. I pray that you will take comfort in the memories and love that your own children brought to you and your families. They are surely at peace now, and I hope, in time, that you will be at peace also.

I want you to know that all of us here in New Jersey have cried and mourned the losses of your babies and cannot imagine your pain. You are not alone, all of America changed the day your children went to Heaven and that is an impact we will NEVER forget. Take each day moment by moment, remember to eat, breathe, sleep and pray. Your children will be in my heart forever.

God Bless,

I wanted to tell you how much I am praying for all of your families. As people go back to their normal routines, your lives will never be "normal" again. I have been thinking of all of you, and praying for you non-stop since this happened. I am the grandmother of 4, 2 of which are aged 6. I can't even imagine what you must be going through, but I want you to know that I am praying for each of you, and I pray that God gives you strength to go on and comforts you. I know that Jesus is holding each one of your children in his arms, and comforting them. God Bless each and every one of you.

There isn't much I can say to comfort you right now, I'm sure, but know that there are people who are thinking of you all around the world and would love to help.

I can't imagine what you're going through, but I admire how strong you all are. You are a light of inspiration in a dark time.

Love always

Dear Sandy Hook,
This unspeakable tragedy has saddened me; I can't even imagine the feelings that are going through your heads. What happened could not be understood and I can only hope. These innocent children and teachers are in God's hand now and I continue to pray for them and your community. I hope you can eventually find the strength to move on and rebuild your community. Nothing that happened could have been prevented in any way and I can only hope that measures can be taken to prevent this evil thing from happening in the future. Just know that the world is on your side and your children are at peace.

You will live so long,
Up high in the sky.
It is too sad that you go,
for there's not a dry eye.

But with compassion and love,
we will soon see you above.

You were so brave and strong,
For that we all cry.
Because we can't get along,
The breathe of change is stirring; this is no goodbye.

And with compassion and love,
we will soon see you above.

Dear Sandy Hook,
This was a awful event, and I hope that this will never happen again. This is something that the United States will never forget, and hopefully this will change gun laws. I can't even imagine what your little town is going through, and I have been praying for you and your children, alive and dead. To the dead teachers, you will be remembered for your effort and courage, and maybe pass that on to the remaining children, who struggle with this event. To the dead children, it was not your time to die. You had so much to offer this world, and to have your future taken away was brutally unfair. I hope that you guide us for years to come. To their parents, I am so sorry for you and your families. I am praying that you find comfort in others and in God. I am sending my love. To the children that are still alive, this must be a traumatizing event, not one for little children. I promise, you will get through this. You are in our hearts just as much as the dead are, too.

Your children are now are children, your pain, our pain. You will all be in my prayers for many years to come.

For everyone affected by this tragedy, just know that the country mourns with you and is by your side through these terrible times. No one, especially not just young children, deserves to have their life cut short like this. Their spirits will live on in our hearts, and our prayers are with you.
I hope the leaders of our country will realize its time to take action against such events, and prevent further tragedies.
My love and support goes out to everyone. I wish you good luck through this, and reassure you that there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Be strong.

I cannot begin to imagine what it must be like for you during this time, or how it will affect you for the rest of your lives, but I do understand the power that people have through Christ to overcome. My prayer is that you will not lose sight of all the
strength, support, and especially love that will come from this. A focus on love will encourage you, comfort you, help you to help others, and will hopefully make a change in this world for the future. I pray that you are all shown every ounce of love you need to get through this.

The pain and suffering Mr. Lanza has caused you resonates through us all.
I can only hope and pray for a world where peace can finally be a reality instead of a wish or a dream.

People of Newton, my thoughts are with you always.

Dear People of Sandy Hook,
It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light. You are strong and your community is strong. Remember that the world's thoughts and prayers are with you. And God is with the children you have lost. Continue to be strong and show the world that this can never happen again.
