I know that it is always so terrible to lose a loved one, especially in such a tragic way, and in a school, a sanctuary of learning, a safe haven. I just want you all to know that I will be praying for you.

Remember that the children and the adults killed during the shooting are still with you, even though you can't see them. They are watching over you. Don't be afraid to talk to them sometimes. I'm sure they can hear you.

Please, if any of you feel you cannot deal with this, talk to someone, and know that so many people are praying for you. My heart goes out to you all during this terrible time.

I'm writing to you from Sydney, where we are in the hottest part of our Summer. It would feel equally distant that I am writing with my young children around me. But like a lonely journey from Connecticut to Australia, with uncountable steps and months of being too weak to stand or being carried over the waves by others, you can arrive at a place of happiness - one day. Just as I am trying to imagine your grief, can you imagine a distant point of light that is hope? I send you my respects as you try to find your way. May love be your guide.

Nothing like this should ever happen to innocent people.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of those killed.
The children and adults killed did not deserve this at all and I wish it never occurred.

My thoughts and prayers to those affected by the shooting.

No child or family should ever have to go through this.

I pray that God guide you all through this difficult time, and give you all the strength you need.

Just know that these precious little children and heroes are now your guardian angels, watching you from above.

Where the Children Are

On a quiet Friday morning
the Holy Father looked down
on a beautiful little haven
by the name of Newtown.

He saw twenty-six souls
preparing to take flight
so He sent guardian angels
to help guide them to the light.

The angels flew quickly
passing streams and brooks.
They landed at a school
by the name of Sandy Hook.

The souls gathered together
in a circle of love
and flew with the angels
to Heaven above.

To those left behind
please have no fear.
Just listen to these words
that God wants you to hear.

Your loved ones are not gone.
Although eyes cannot see,
they are in Paradise
where they are now free--

of the pain and sorrow
iflicted by man,
and living in love
in God’s Holy Land.

I hope that I may say this on behalf of everyone who has witnessed this terror, but I am sure that I can imagine nothing even close to the experience the poor victims of the shooting have suffered. As national media remembers only the name of those who terrorized Sandy Hook Elementary School on that disastrous day, may God and the world remember all those who died that day, and may all our wishes be with those who have lost a loved one.

RIP

Hello.

I am a 7th grader at Manhasset Middle School.

I've heard about what's happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Even though many lives were lost on December 14, 2012, I hope God keeps protecting and blessing the children and staff of this wonderful school.

The lives that were lost on that dreadful day is now in heaven, reunited with their ancestors, God, and his angels.

Remember, everything happens for a reason.

Please keep your head held up high.

With all of my heart and soul,

Yeabin Lee

I can't imagine how much pain and hurt this must have wrought upon the ones who knew and loved the victims and the shooter. But I do know that love, hope, and faith is real (1 Corinthians 13:13). In the midst of this darkness, there is a Heavenly Father who embraces you and when you don't have an ounce of strength left in you, He becomes your strength (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). I pray that He will restore you through His amazing power and love. Peace be with you.

The losses you are suffering is being felt throughout the world. Every face of the victims is seen in everyone who has lost. As news was coming in from your tragedy, we were shocked with you, cried with you, and were lost like you. Please remember, we will miss your loved ones with you. You are not alone in this time of grief.

My daughter is seven years old. She gives her love and prayed for you all. My daughter is religious and I am not. I prayed with her for your families and friends. You will be in our hearts for the rest of our lives.

I hope you all can find solice in knowing that people all over the world stands behind you as you continue to grieve. We love you all!
