Dear residents of Newtown, CT It is so heartbreaking to see young angels victimized in such a tragic event... I will be keeping you and the children in my prayers. I know that the children are in a better place right now, and that you will one day meet them again. Please stay strong and together we will mend your community back together.

What happened to everyone was such tragic and honestly, i feel like the media just made it worse by stalling and extending the calamity. You guys need to heal on your own rather then having the whole world see and stay in your business. I wish you guys all luck and bless you all. Your children and siblings would probably want you guys to be happy and still live your life eventually. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years! Don't lose faith and hope because of this because good things do still exist in this world; just remember that.

Sometimes we wonder why god would allow something like this. Or even if there is a god, and who would be cruel and sick minded to kill such innocent kids. Sometimes we have to understand this world is messed up, and that no matter how much we try there are always going to be those who are out to hurt others. I truly, deep heartedly, hope the souls of those who died in this shooting rest in peace. I hope they are all happy and safe now with god, and nothing can hurt them now. Although it is hard not to wish the worst onto the one that killed, god would not like it if we punished him. The negative energy he has released will come back to him, regardless of what we do to him. He is still god's child and has his own problems. I truly hope that those that died rest in peace forever <3

Happy Holidays, I hope your wishes this year comes true.

I just want to say that I believe God is with you all right now. Although this tragic event happened, I believe that God will help this town recover and heal now on. It will take time. I hope everyone finds patience, love, and eventually happiness in this town again. Keep the faith and keep living. No one right now can even understand the pain you must be facing. Having a younger brother that age, I can't imagine how horrible it must be to lose him. I love him so much, and he loves me back just as much; to lose him to such a cold-blooded tragedy must be unbearable. But stay strong, knowing that this whole nation is with you. All of our thoughts and prayers go out to you, to comfort you and be with you all, no matter what. Never forget that.

Dear townspeople of Newtown, I really don't know where to begin with how sorry I am that this tragedy happened in your town. The children and their educators will be in my prayers. I hope that things are done to prevent this from happening in the future whether it be gun restrictions or additional funding for mental health. For me, personally, it really brought to light how, as a student, I should be reaching out to those who need help - or just friendship - in my grade and school. I will definitely do my best.

They say that the most unbearable pain is to lose a child As a mere 17yr old, I cannot possibly imagine the grief you'd experience But let me tell you something... First, your child, your children will be in a comforting place. If 'God' were to exist, I really bet he would lead such sweet children to a sweet place. Second, losing a child is the biggest pain you can possibly bear. You already reached your rock bottom. You can't possibly be more painful than this. Now the only thing you should wait is to go back up. For the rest of your life, your life would go only up. You'd just always be happy. I cannot possibly write a 'comforting' letter as I cannot even fathom the amount of grief you experience. So I can only say that you're strong... I understand you... Your children are well... The world is so not fair... what right does it have to take such beautiful beings away from you... But now, let them go, they are living peacefully and comfortingly in the designated place. They know how much you love them... Love, Jiyoun J. Ha
